    Anyone heard of any good areas around Kaw Lake for bow hunting. I know of a few areas there but always looking for more and maybe others to hunt with there.

    I used to hunt it a lot about 15 years ago. Saw some really nice bucks but I think they are all nocturnal because of high pressure from so many hunters. The quality of bucks in the WMA has declined becasue so many hunters shoot the first buck they see during gun & blackpowder seasons. If you have a boat, you can hunt some good difficult access areas. Good luck

    Some of the best bucks I have ever seen have been in areas just like that on public land.

    there are a lot of people up there we had a hard time finding a hunting spot last year for gun season but it paid of monday when alot of people left. If I were you I would try going durning the week on the south side by Kaw City.      GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
